Ceramic Coating

Unless your vehicle is bubble wrapped, sealed air tight, and never driven; it will be exposed to harsh elements such as bird droppings, pollen, tree sap, UV damage, road film, tar, and even rust. Have you ever notice vehicles that aren’t as rich in color or look slightly dirty even after they have been washed or even detailed? Or how about paint that is flaking off? ( otherwise known ad clear coat delamination or failure). The reason this happens is mostly due to improper maintenance washing, lack of proper clear coat protection, or plain lack of routine maintenance. Did you know that your paint has pores? All of the environmental conditions that can lead to destroying your paint can be prevented with proper protection. There are many forms of protection such as waxes, synthetic sealants, and ceramic coatings with ceramic coatings being the best.

Let’s look at an example Think of wax as a low SPF sunblock, it may work great at first, but then you have to reapply every 4-6 weeks. A synthetic sealant is a higher level of protection, but still needs to be reapplied every couple of months. A ceramic coating has exponentially higher protection and lasts many years. 

A ceramic coating is the only vehicle protection for your paint that will resist harsh chemicals and provides a sacrificial layer to further protect the thin layer of clear coat. Most manufactures are cutting costs by applying thinner and thinner clear coats. Clear coats 10 years ago were as thin as a post-it-note.

Another benefit is a ceramic coating provides a hydrophobic layer that prevents dirt, and other environmental contaminants from bonding to your vehicle. This not only aids in protection, but makes maintenance washes an easier and quicker process. 

Lastly, if you enjoy the look of a freshly detailed and waxed vehicle, a ceramic coating will provide even more gloss for many years in a fraction of the time to maintain.
